Mint Pharmaceuticals Expands Distribution Partnership with Bayer Canada

Mint Pharmaceuticals expanded its distribution partnership with Bayer Canada to include Angeliq, Climara 25/50/75, Triquilar 21/28, and Xarelto granules for oral suspension. The agreement builds on their existing collaboration for Adalat XL (nifedipine), broadening the partnership across cardiovascular, women’s health, and other therapeutic areas. Mint will leverage its nationwide distribution network and supply-chain capabilities to support reliable supply and continuity of access to Bayer’s established medicines for Canadian patients and healthcare professionals.

BeOne Medicines Completes pCPA Negotiations for Tevimbra in Canada for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

BeOne Medicines has completed pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA) negotiations for Tevimbra (tislelizumab), in combination with gemcitabine and cisplatin, as a first-line treatment for adults with recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Concluded on September 25, 2026, the agreement marks a key step toward potential public reimbursement in Canada, where no publicly funded first-line immunotherapy option is currently available for this patient population. BeOne will now work with provincial governments and other stakeholders toward reimbursement and listing decisions. If funded, Tevimbra could expand access to immunotherapy for this rare, often advanced-stage cancer, while strengthening BeOne’s position in Canada’s NPC treatment market.

Enoumena Therapeutics and AOP Health Partner to Expand Canadian Access to Sibboran

Enoumena Therapeutics and AOP Health have signed an exclusive commercialization agreement to expand Canadian institutional access to Sibboran (landiolol hydrochloride), a short-acting, selective beta-1 blocker authorized by Health Canada in 2023. The drug is indicated for short-term ventricular rate reduction in patients with supraventricular tachycardia, including atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter, across perioperative, postoperative, and other acute-care settings. With an elimination half-life of approximately four minutes, landiolol allows rapid, adjustable heart-rate control when precise and reversible effects are needed. Under the agreement, Enoumena will lead Canadian commercialization, hospital formulary access, and medical engagement, while AOP Health will oversee regulatory affairs, manufacturing, quality, pharmacovigilance, and supply.

XORTX Therapeutics Prepares Canadian Clinical Trial Application for Gout Candidate Xorlo

XORTX Therapeutics is preparing a Clinical Trial Application (CTA) to Health Canada for XRx-026, its gout program evaluating Xorlo, a proprietary formulation of oxypurinol, a xanthine oxidase inhibitor. The planned two-part XRX-OXY-102 study will begin with a Canadian clinical trial component, building on previously reported positive results and further characterizing the commercial tablet formulation. The study is expected to accelerate clinical data generation to support a planned U.S. FDA New Drug Application (NDA), while advancing a parallel regulatory pathway in Canada. XORTX also reports increased inquiries from potential commercialization partners across several jurisdictions, although no agreements have been signed. The program targets a growing global gout burden, with cases projected to increase by 70% over the next 25 years.
